062: Ryan Hunt, Founder of Mountain Up Apparel

On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories the team welcomes Ryan Hunt, founder of Mountain Up. Mountain UP is a veteran owned Hat Company inspired by the 10th Mountain, and the units actions from World War II to Modern Times.

 

Ryan enlisted in the Army in 1998 as a fire support specialist (forward observer) and served his first stint at Fort Drum. Leaving the Army as a Sergeant in 2001, he attended Webster University, pursuing a degree in Business Management. While he was in school 9-11 occurred, shortly after he joined ROTC, seeking a commission in the Army. He graduated with a degree in Business Management & Leadership along with various credentials and certifications. Later he returned to the 10th Mountain and deployed for a second time, serving in a variety of roles from leading combat patrols as a platoon leader to company commander of officer recruiting, combat advising, and logistics officer.
