117: The Right Gear Makes All The Difference

Posted by Michael J. Penney on

On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories, Mike and Bennett talk about the issued gear we all know and love. The number one piece of gear ever carried is the poncho liner. It's a blanket, pillow, sheet, privacy current, woobie (for our Army brothren). The silky quilted material holds a level of comfort that traditional quilts and comforters cannot compare to.

Boots, gloves, butt-pack, kevlar, flak - the guys discuss the differences between generations of veterans and how the gear has changed; One thing remains constant though. All veterans have a story about how they fixed or MacGyvered something to work for them. Adapt and overcome as they say.

We hope you enjoy this installment of Cigars and Sea Stories. SHARE with the world and be sure to subscribe, rate, and review the show. Available on iTunes, Stitcher, and Player FM
